Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information Barrera's IT Corporation ("Barreras IT Corp", "we") collects, why, and who we share it with.

1. What we collect

Contact and estimate requests: your name, email, phone, company and message when you use our contact form or our online estimate chat. The full estimate conversation is saved so our team can follow up.
Client area: your email address and role, sign-in times, and the requests you send us (support tickets, payments, hosting cancellation requests).
Billing: invoices, payments and subscriptions. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store full card numbers.
Managed devices: for managed IT clients, our management agent collects technical information about the computers we support (device name, hardware, installed software, updates and health alerts). Remote-support sessions only happen when you allow them or as part of your plan.
Domain names: the owner and contact details needed to register a domain, as explained in our Domain Registration Agreement.
Technical information: IP address, browser type and pages visited, kept in server logs to protect the site and stop abuse.

2. How we use it

To answer your requests, give estimates and quotes, and provide the services you buy.
To bill you, take payments and send reminders.
To keep your systems and our website secure.
To meet legal and accounting obligations.
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

We share only what each provider needs to do its job:

Syncro (client records, tickets, invoices, device management)
Stripe (card payments)
Amazon Web Services (sending our emails)
Enom / Tucows, the domain registries and ICANN (domain registrations)
OpenAI (processes the messages you type in our estimate chat so the assistant can answer)
Google (our business rating, and address lookups our staff use when creating client records)
Splashtop (remote-support sessions)
Our website, hosting and backup storage providers.

We may also share information when the law requires it, or to protect our clients, our business or the public.

4. Cookies

We only use cookies needed for the site to work: keeping you signed in to the client area or admin, and remembering your domain cart. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You can delete cookies in your browser; you will then need to sign in again.

5. Health information (HIPAA)

For medical and dental clients, protected health information we may see while supporting your systems is handled under a signed Business Associate Agreement. Our website forms and estimate chat are not meant for health information; please don't include any.

6. How long we keep it

Estimate chats: deleted automatically after 30 days, unless you become a client.
Contact messages: up to 3 years, unless you become a client.
Client and billing records: as long as you are a client and as long as tax and accounting laws require afterwards.
Server logs: a few months.

7. Security

We use encrypted connections, strong access controls, encrypted storage of service keys, and regular backups. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your personal information, we will tell you as the law requires.

8. Your choices and rights

You can ask us to show, correct or delete your personal information, or to stop emails that are not about your services. Write to [email protected]. We may need to keep some records for legal or accounting reasons.

9. Children

Our services are for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. The new version is posted on this page with its date, and we email active clients about important changes.
