Terms of Service
Last updated October 16, 2026.
These terms apply to every service Barrera's IT Corporation ("Barreras IT Corp", "we", "us") provides: managed IT plans, on-site projects (network cabling, security cameras, phone systems, office setups), websites, website care and hosting, SEO and marketing, domain names, and related support. "You" means the business or person using our services.
1. How these terms work
- By ordering, paying for, or using any of our services, you agree to these terms.
- A written quote, proposal, plan description or signed agreement for your service is part of these terms. If it says something different from these terms, the written quote or agreement wins for that service.
- These policies also apply: our Privacy Policy, Acceptable Use Policy and, for domain names, the Domain Registration Agreement.
2. Our services
- What each service includes is described in your quote, plan or invoice. Anything not listed there is extra work, billed at our current rates after we tell you the price.
- Managed IT plans are month to month. There is no long-term contract unless you sign one for a specific project.
- On-site work happens at your location in our service area. Remote support is done with remote-access tools (Splashtop through our management platform) only when you or your staff allow the session, or as part of your managed plan.
- To deliver services we use trusted vendors (for example Microsoft, Syncro, Splashtop, Enom and our hosting providers). Their own terms may also apply to the products they provide.
3. Estimates and quotes
- Estimates given on our website, including by our online estimate assistant, are informative only. They are not a binding offer.
- The final price is the one in your written quote or invoice, usually confirmed after a short call or a free visit.
- Written quotes are valid for 30 days unless they say otherwise. Material prices may change if a quote expires.
4. Your responsibilities
- Give us accurate contact and billing information and keep it up to date.
- Give us reasonable access to your office, equipment, accounts and the people we need to do the work.
- Make sure you own or have licenses for the software and equipment we work on, unless we supply the license.
- Keep your own copies of important data unless a backup service is part of your plan. Before we start any project, tell us about anything that must not be lost.
- Keep your passwords private and tell us right away if you think an account or device has been compromised.
- Use our services lawfully and follow our Acceptable Use Policy.
5. Payment
- Invoices are due by the date shown on the invoice. Recurring plans and subscriptions are billed in advance for each period.
- If you choose to keep a card on file, recurring invoices may be charged to it automatically on the billing date.
- Sales tax is added where the law requires it.
- If an invoice is unpaid, we send reminders. If it stays unpaid, we may pause services after notice. Hosting accounts are suspended after the reminder and warning emails described in your client area, and turned back on once the invoice is paid.
- Questions about a charge should be sent to us within 30 days of the invoice date.
6. Cancellation and refunds
- You can cancel a monthly plan or subscription at any time by writing to us (or, for hosting, from the client area). The service stays active until the end of the period already paid. Partial months are not refunded.
- For projects, work already done and materials already ordered are billed even if the project is cancelled.
- Domain registrations and renewals cannot be refunded once processed (see the Domain Registration Agreement).
- If we cancel a service without cause, we refund the unused part of any prepaid period.
7. Websites and hosting
- Hosting accounts have fair-use limits on processor, memory and disk. If an account affects other customers, we may ask you to reduce use or move to a larger plan.
- We make regular backups of hosting accounts as a courtesy, but backups are not guaranteed. Keep your own copy of your website and email.
- We work to keep hosting available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance may cause short interruptions.
- When a website we build is fully paid, you own its content and design, except for third-party themes, plugins, fonts and images, which stay under their own licenses.
8. Medical, dental and other regulated clients
- When our work involves protected health information, we sign a HIPAA Business Associate Agreement with you before we start. That agreement wins over these terms where they differ.
- Practice-management and clinical software stays supported by its own vendor. We coordinate with the vendor and support everything else.
- Please do not send health information through our website forms or estimate chat.
9. Confidentiality and data
- We access your systems and data only to do the work you asked for, and we keep what we see confidential.
- How we handle personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.
10. Warranties
- We do our work carefully and professionally. If something we did is not right, tell us within 30 days and we will fix it at no charge.
- Equipment and software we resell carry the manufacturer's warranty only.
- Except for what is written in these terms, services are provided "as is". We do not promise that any system will be free of errors, outages or security incidents.
11. Limitation of liability
- We are not responsible for indirect losses, such as lost profits, lost data, or business interruption.
- Our total responsibility for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us for the affected service in the three (3) months before the claim.
- These limits do not apply where the law does not allow them.
12. Indemnification
You agree to cover our reasonable costs if a claim is made against us because of content you publish, how you use our services, or your breach of these terms.
13. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end a service, after notice when possible, if it is unpaid, used in breach of these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, or if we must do so by law. Serious abuse (for example malware, spam or illegal content) may be stopped immediately.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The new version is posted on this page with its date. For important changes, we email active clients at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the services after that date means you accept the new terms.
15. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of Miami-Dade County, Florida. We will always try to solve a problem directly with you first.
